Gopher Tuna

It’s no secret that I LOVE choral music. What I don’t like, however, is choral music sung without diction. Unfortunately, this happens often. It usually drives me nuts.

O Fortuna from Carmina Burana is a fairly well known choral piece, but one easily prone to unclear diction. Jeff found this animation that has had us both in stitches… and him singing these “new” lyrics with great gusto (particularly when weeding outside in the garden).

Here are the original Latin lyrics, if you’re curious.

  1. OK that is absolutely perfect. T thought it was great. It is exactly what he has always said about choir music.

  2. That is so hilarious! (Even though I have no idea what the lyrics actually are, I'm positive they are nothing like this!)

  3. Yes… it is hilarious. What's embarrassing to admit is that Jeff and I have watched this so many times, we now know THESE lyrics by heart. While doing dishes last night, we were singing away…

And Sandra- there's a link on the post to the actual lyrics. They're not that far off from these ones!
