Our December schedule slowed at the same moment snow arrived on Christmas Eve, setting the stage for several relaxed days with free schedules to sleep in and enjoy late, leisurely breakfasts.
Today, life returns to normal with returns to work and the packing up of this year’s Christmas decorations (only the gold, silver and bronze items were brought out this year). And so we begin another year. Hope you had a lovely holiday.
So, this happened.
A few holes in the wall in our study. I got tired of staring at a huge, white, blank wall.
The new painting we hung in our dinging room last week. It’s a numbered print of “Southern Light” by Patricia Fabian
A little magic with royal icing (see the tutorial here).
There is a good chance we’re going to need bunk beds at some point over the next few years. This take on bunk beds, designed by Slovenian design firm AKSL Arhiteckti, has captured my imagination. I particularly love that ladder.
Jeff and I replaced our bed frame and headboard earlier this spring. During our search for a new one, we came across this option:
It’s the “Cosmos” bed made of white fiberglass by Russian designer Natalia Rumyantseva. Jeff thought it was straight out of Star Trek (which made it a winner in his book) and I’ll admit- it is interesting, isn’t it?!
